How to Create a Small Space with Big Style

I spend a lot of time helping my clients downsize into smaller spaces.  Selling the big house and moving into the condo in the city sounds great, right?  But what do you do in a smaller space with all of your stuff??  Finding ways to incorporate storage into everyday pieces has become easier thanks to a little creativity in your furniture purchases.

Cubes and floating shelves can store a lot and can do double duty as wall art.

 

Bookshelves don’t have to be built-in.

 

And desks and tables don’t have to have legs.

 

A simple shelf under a table can store magazines and books, as well as decorative items.

 

Add drawers and your “stuff” is out of sight.

 

Not enough room in your bedroom for anything but a bed?  Get one with under the bed storage and attached nightstands.

 

A simple wooden ladder can be the perfect place for linens.
