With the 4th of July here and flags being raised in support of the red, white, and blue, I thought about my own business and the products I buy and the companies I use.  Where are their products made?  How much is actually made right here in the USA? Happily, most of the vendors I use say the “majority” of their products are made here in America but it became more difficult to find ones made “exclusively” in the USA.  So, to all those companies that do actually produce  products in the USA, we salute you!  And here are just a few of our favorites, from small to large, they all have their roots here in America!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again- Kolman Artisan Glass NEVER ceases to amaze me with their beautiful artwork!  These glass designs are perfect for large wall spaces, or small!  Connie Kolman’s studio is located in Sudbury, MA, where she brings her clients’ visions to life through her exquisite glass work.  You’ll see in her catalogue that Connie uses an inspirational theme to create her own interpretation of colors and patterns.  I absolutely love that Kolman Artisan Glass is so devout to creating custom pieces for their clients to be able to have “something that no one else has”!

Created in the late 1800’s near the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, J.D. Bassett started making his first pieces of furniture from lumber that he would carry home from the mill.  His furniture quickly became in high demand, and created the very first Bassett Furniture store in 1902.  Now, with more than 100 retail locations in the US, Bassett Furniture is a great choice for those who would like to peruse a store to test out different styles before making their purchase.  If you do not find exactly what you are looking for at Bassett, they will help design your product to fit YOUR style and your living space!  Reasonably priced furniture made right here in America!!

A true American furniture company, Harden Furniture is rooted amidst a 10,000 acre woodland in Upstate New York, where the company has been practicing responsible environmental sustainability for 167 years!!  WOW!  Harden Furniture has withstood 5 generations of family ownership, during which the company has continued to harvest trees from their property and maintain “an on-site Forestry Division and adherence to environmentally sound principles and practices such as use of proven silviculture methods”.  I love that you can find such beautiful furniture from a company and truly feel good knowing that it came from somewhere like THIS!   And I believe that is a Thom Felicia fabric by Kravet CITYSQUARE MISTYMORN !  Totally recognize it because it’s on the roman shades in my family room!!

To all the companies out there that make their products here in America, thank you!  Let’s all support these companies and any business that makes “made in America” a priority!  Is your business made in America?  Please let us know and we’ll help to get the word out!!  And don’t forget to Like us Facebook and subscribe to our blog to receive more updates!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!
