I have to admit, it took me a while to fully embrace the myriad of animal prints that are available in Interior Design.  I just never quite “got” pink leopard prints!  Well, it’s been a while and I’ve come around.  In fact, now I actually LOVE a little ”walk on the wild side!”  Animal motifs have gone from faux skin prints on fabric to just about anything….and with just about any animal, too!

I never really know what is going to inspire me to write a blog post – sometimes, it’s just a product I see that gets me going.  Such was the case with this one…  I walked into the Kravet Boston Showroom and saw this beautiful elephant embroidered fabric.  It’s so hard to appreciate from a picture but it truly is gorgeous!  So, this blue elephant morphed into a zoo full of animals, on everything from furniture, to pillows, to rugs.  Take a walk on the wild side with me and let’s have some FUN with animal decor!

Not all animal design has to be serious.  I just love the whimsy that Jonathan Adler creates, and this elephant lamp is just adorable!  I want one!!!  A little more whimsy in this animal platter and some pillows, bedding, rugs and dishes.  And that dog from Currey is just too cute!
