What a year 2015 will be for the Hayward house!  We will be adding 2 new members to our family – our son, Justin, will be marrying Lydia, his childhood sweetheart, in a summer wedding on Cape Cod.  And good things come in two’s – our daughter, Jillian, will be heading home from San Diego, with her fiancĂ©, Christian,  for a fall wedding in the Boston area.

As different as my children are, so will be their weddings!  Justin and Lydia will be having a traditional, beachy, Cape Cod affair, hoping for a beautiful day to take advantage of our Chatham ocean views.  Jillian and Christian, on the other hand, will be looking forward to a “vintage, rustic” wedding in a beautifully restored “castle”.

I don’t want to give away any secrets from the future brides and grooms to be, so instead I thought I would put together some ideas of beach and vintage themed weddings!

For the beach inspired wedding, here are some ideas.  Simple tablescapes using natural elements and soft colors are always winners for a summer wedding.

Style Me Pretty

For the vintage inspired wedding, you may want to try one of these.  Soft, pastel colors, “shabby chic” pieces, and lots of candles will help to create that vintage, rustic feel.
