Summer 2015 was the summer of weddings at the Hayward house. Justin and Lydia were married in June, and Jillian and Christian in September. In one summer, my family doubled! How lucky I am to have 2 new “children”!
As different as Justin and Jillian are, so were their weddings. Justin and Lydia met when they were 15 years old in Chatham. Lydia’s family also has a summer home there, so they have so many memories of summers together on the beaches of Cape Cod. Their wedding was a perfect June day and their celebration was quintessential Cape Cod. From the bridesmaids’ vibrant blue Lilly Pulitzer dresses, to the hydrangea bouquets, to the barnboard and nautical rope accents, their wedding was Classic Cape Cod!

Jillian and Christian met in college at rival schools (Jill at BU, Christian at BC) and wanted something a little closer to Boston. Jillian loves the vintage, shabby chic look, and Christian is an old soul that would have been right at home decades ago. Their wedding reflected their love of all things vintage with their venue at Alden Castle, along with its dark wood panels and crystal chandeliers, blush colored garden roses and hand painted signage, reclaimed wood boards and groomsmen in black tuxedos and bow ties, their wedding was Vintage Romance.

Lydia and Jillian each had a very special “something old”. Lydia wore her great, great grandmothers vintage lace fingertip veil, also worn by her mom and her aunt. Simply beautiful and timeless!

The lace around Jillian’s bouquet was actually the lace cuffs from my wedding gown. Jillian also cut down my wedding gown to cocktail length and wore it for her Rehearsal Dinner! How honored I was that she chose to make these touches her “something old”.
