I’ve always said, “You’re never too old to learn something new”, and I’m so excited to take this to the extreme in my new role as nonnie-to be!  Yes, next month my son and daughter-in-law will be blessing us with a granddaughter.

A lot has changed since I raised Justin and Jillian;  Crib sides don’t go down, bumper pads are 50/50 (as are blankets and toys),  babies sleep on their backs, not their tummies…. The list is endless, but I’m learning!

My job naturally takes me to interior furnishings and decor stores, but never have I found myself veering off to the little people section as much as I do now!  There is so much STUFF for babies!!!  And, I love it all!

Crib sheets have beautiful colors like this one from Anthropologie, and cribs come in every style and color!

Love the navy and white, signature Serena and Lily style, and it’s perfect for a coastal nursery.

Pink is sweet and fresh, and I LOVE the cherries on this crib sheet.

You can never have enough receiving blankets, especially soft and cozy ones like these.

A nursery rocker is a must.  After a “Goldilocks day” trying out rockers, Justin decided to go for all the bells and whistles on this recliner/rocker.  Since the chair will be in his home office, he decided to go for the gold!

Pottery Barn Kids

I’m in love with this rug and chair!

When Jillian was little she loved Peter Rabbit – how she would have loved this room!

Not sure what to do with the walls!?  Try out some removable wallpaper!

I could go on and on and on with adorable baby things.  Here are some highlights from Lydia’s baby shower hosted by Jillian…complete with the cutest diaper cake ever!

Everyone needs a little something sweet!

And flowers picked from the garden were Jillian’s choice for centerpieces.  These peonies and mountain laurel were at their peak!

A little headband making station, and baby girl Hayward is ready to greet the world!

There are so many adorable nursery ideas out there, and we want to know your favorites!
