For a while now, there has been a huge trend towards going gray. Woods, paints, fabrics, and finishes have trended towards cooler tones for years, and now is the time that we’re seeing this trend start to die down. Warmer tones and comforting fabrics are starting to take over, and we are loving it!
Warm things up
If your home tends to land in that “cool” color palette, there are plenty of quick ways to add in some warmth without breaking the bank. If your home has lots of blues, consider adding in some gilded finishes. Blues and golds work beautifully together, and can really add an element of style and sophistication to your design.

One of the biggest attractions towards this cool palette is the sense of calm and relaxation it emits. Throughout the past year, we’ve been spending so much more time using our homes for things we never have before (work, school, play, exercise- just to name a few!).
As we’ve adapted to these new functions of our homes, so too must we adapt to its new energy. Breathing in life, vibrancy, and a little sunshine through color choices is a great place to start. Soft reds, yellows, oranges, and pinks all add in a lovely extra layer of comfort we all need this year.

For a bold take on the look, sometimes a fiery red is the perfect accent!
