Our Favorite Spring Tablescapes for 2017

My 2 least favorite months of the year are February and March.  I’m tired of the cold, sick of my winter tablescapes, and generally feeling gloomy.  Starting to “dewinterize” the house perks me up, and one of the easiest to do is the table.

I love the soft pastels, vivd greens, flora, and fauna that come along with warmer weather and lots of sunshine.  So, with one foot still in winter and one on its way into spring, you’ll find all of these things in my favorite Springtime tabletops!

Whether you’re gathering ideas for your own table decor or just enjoy seeing all of these lively designs, we hope you enjoy our gorgeous collection of Spring tables capes as much as we do!

Life-Size Gingerbread Houses in an Area Near You!

What is more “holiday” than a gingerbread house?  The smell alone just makes me smile.  When Justin and Jillian were little we made our gingerbread attempts – more failures than successes, although Jillian did a great gingerbread “beach hut” one year!

So, although I’ve given up trying make a gingerbread house, I’m still awed by those who can.  Gingerbread baking has been brought to a whole new level with life-size confections.   Dinner in a gingerbread house??  Yes, that’s right.   Take a look at these massive structures constructed entirely of edibles!   Which is your favorite??  Click on the links to see if there’s one in your area and spend an afternoon in Candy Land!

The Ritz-Carlton in Charlotte boasts a 12’x10′ gingerbread house that is part of their extensive holiday decorations.  They have even said to expect a “macaroon tree, Candy Land, croquembouche tree”, and much more!

In San Francisco, the Fairmont has truly outdone itself once again with a two-story high Victorian gingerbread house, standing over 22′ high and 23′ wide.  Here, the Fairmont invites guests to enjoy the view while sipping on some holiday tea and listening to live Piano on the weekends.

Just when you think the Chatham Bars Inn can’t get any more beautiful, they bust out a life-size gingerbread house in the main lobby for the second year in a row!  The chefs at CBI also recreate a gingerbread village out of local buildings and shops!
