Color Feature: SHADOW

As one of the first brands to name a color of the year for 2017, Benjamin Moore has recently chosen “Shadow”.  This deep, rich, purple hue is the ultimate shade of luxury.  If you’re looking to experiment with adding a little bit of a boldness to your home without going too “bright”, then Shadow may be the perfect color to test out!

I love that it adds such glamour, yet still has a subtlety that keeps the color practical.  What do you think of Shadow?  Is there a room in your home that would look great with this updated, bold look?  Here are a few ideas to get you started!

2016 Color of the Year, Part 2: SERENITY

Pantone’s 2016 Color of the Year Part 2: Serenity.  A little bluish purple, a little smoky blue…  Depends on the day and the piece!  Here’s a few of our favorites to inspire you!

What do you think about Pantone’s color, Serenity?  Doesn’t it just go perfectly with its counterpart, Rose Quartz?

Color Feature: LAVENDER

I really had to step out of the box for today’s color feature.  Lavender is not in my usual go-to palette, and I honestly don’t know why!  It has such a soft, easy feel and goes great with so many colors – gray, chocolate brown, yellows, coral…

I came across this room designed by Barry Dixon and just loved how easily the lavender sofa softly coordinated with the blue chair, orange shade, and chocolate brown table.  Here are some other purple products that inspire me, and I hope they may give you a little inspiration as well!

Perfect for an entry or a laundry room, Benjamin Moore’s “Queen’s Wreath” is a striking change from the usual neutrals.
