Not-Your-Average Holiday Wreaths

As we enter the holiday season, it’s time to start pulling those festive decorations out of storage, and maybe think about adding a few fresh ones into the mix.  Holiday wreaths are a classic way to bring the holidays into your home, and there are so many fun options out there to experiment with.  There are plenty of gorgeous botanical style wreaths that we see every day- both fresh and dried.

But, if you look a little more outside the box, you’ll find wreaths created from many unique and interesting materials like metal, felt, wool, and tinsel- just to name a few.  Because these wreaths require no maintenance and are not made of fresh botanicals, they can also make for wonderful gifts (think: easy to pack or ship).

We’ve rounded up a few of our current favorites, and hope they inspire a little creativity in your holiday decorating this year!

We are loving the pom pom wreath trend- but if you’re not ready to fully commit, try adding a few pom poms to jazz up a more traditional wreath.

Alternatively, you could try a neutral monotone or subdued, earthy hues.

Quick, Easy Ways to Bring Fall Home

Yes, it’s true, Fall is almost here.  It seems that everything I read is just gushing about the crisp air and Fall colors, but I can’t help but be a little sad that summer is drawing to a close.  I’m a summer girl and just dread the warm air leaving and that those nor’easters are heading our way.  Alas, I must face up to the reality and see what I can do to “Fall-ready” my house (and my psyche!).  Here are a few finds to help get things started!

Jonathan Adler’s new Fall catalogue is out, and that ALWAYS brightens my day.  I love to see their quirky and unique take on just about everything!  Not sure about sitting on that sofa with the parakeet overhead, though!

I guess it’s time to put away the sleeveless tops and bring out the sweaters.  Maybe I can do that… but trade in my flip flops for snow boots?  I need more time on that!
